Imola 🇮🇹 debrief McLaren & Mercedes edition 🏎️

Lando (4th in the standings) :

Qualifying: 3rd (started 2nd due to Oscar’s grid penalty)
Grand Prix: 2nd (18 points)
Positions: =

Oscar (6th in the standings):

Qualifying: 2nd but due to a 3 place grid penalty started in 5th
Grand Prix: 4th (12 points)
Positions: +1

Mclaren were incredibly strong this weekend securing another podium and a p4 finish. The car looked incredibly quick and if Oscar didn’t receive that 3 place grid penalty a McLaren double podium would have been on the cards. Both drivers, Zak and Andrea were happy with the car and are confident going into Monaco next week.

Lewis (9th in the standings):

Qualifying : 8th
Grand Prix: 6th (8 points)
Positions: +2

George (7th in the standings) :

Qualifying: 6th
Grand Prix: 7th (7 points + 1 for fastest lap)
Positions: - 1

Both cars struggled during the race and this was the best result they were going to get. Both George and Lewis said that the car is still slow and that the McLaren’s and Ferrari’s are getting even faster. Toto said that even if the results don’t reflect this the car is improving.
