The opening race of the GT Open season went pretty well for car 82. Marcelo did very well for his debut in the series and helped to secure 2 top 10 finishes last weekend. Ralf demonstrated his talent for being absolutely rapid with the way he climbed up the order in Race 1 to finish 10th in class plus get the fastest lap and with how he qualified first in class for Race 2. Race 2 saw Ralf holding his own against the Audi driven by the experienced Christopher Hasse for the entirety of his stint. Unfortunately, Marcelo went wide on lap 22 and dropped down the order but still managed to finish within the top 10 in class. It was a good start to the season and good lessons to be learned for next time🩵🤗!!

HRT has scored their first NLS podium with Ford Mustang after having a very strong race🥳. Throughout the race they were in the top 10 with perfectly executed pit stops and strategy from the entire team. I couldn’t be more prouder of all the drivers and the entire team and may this be the first of many podiums 🥹💙💛!!

Another top 10 finish for the team and good mileage for the development of the car. Dennis has an excellent first lap by moving up to 2nd overall (1st in class) but unfortunately an early pit stop put them out of sync with others in their class which made it hard to advance up the grid. Nevertheless the team and drivers performed well and continue to improve with each race. I cannot wait to see what they can do in the next one 🥹💙💛!!

Lando (2nd in the standings) :
Qualifying: 10th
Grand Prix: 4th (12 points)
Positions: +6
Oscar (1st in the standings):
Qualifying: 2nd
Grand Prix: 1st (25 points)
Positions: +1
Oscar ran away with this one once again and has now taken the championship lead. He did well to make sure Verstappen didn’t walk all over him and his engineers did well with the strategy. If Oscar keeps this up he will be a serious contender for the Drivers championship this season. Lando on the other hand did well to make up for his mistake in qualifying but it’s unfortunate that he keeps making small mistakes like this because they don’t make the team’s life easier in terms of trying to retain the WCC.
Lewis (7th in the standings):
Qualifying: 7th
Grand Prix: 7th (6 points)
Positions: =
Charles (5th in the standings) :
Qualifying: 4th
Grand Prix: 3rd (15 points)
Positions: -4
Well Ferrari managed to bag a podium with Charles finishing in 3rd but again the car did not make the job easy for them. Lewis had some good overtakes and battling with Lando but ultimately he lacked the pace to progress forward. It will be slow and painful for a while but I am confident that Lewis will get used to the car and once he does the results will follow. Good things come to those who wait and it is just a matter of patience and trial and error.

Dino had a decent start to the Sprint Race and moved up to 12th at the start. An early VSC was called due to a car stopping on track but green flag conditions returned on lap 3. Dino then dropped down to 13th again omg lap 11. A safety car was called out on lap 16 due to Crawford and Gabriele colliding. On the restart Dino was in 14th.
Dino dropped down to 17th in the second lap of the Feature race. A virtual safety car was called on lap 9 and Dino was in 6th place due to others pitting. Dino moved up the grid as others completed their mandatory pit stops but by lap 22 he had not yet completed his mandatory pit stop. On lap 23 he moved up to 3rd but still had not pitted. On lap 26 Dino finally pitted and came out in 15th. At the chequered flag he finished 13th

The first race ended quite early for the team. The start was a tad hectic with multiple collisions and unfortunatey the car received a puncture so they had to DNF.
Ralf had an epic start to the second race and immediately began to pull away from the pack, maintaining the lead. With just over 26 mins left Ralf pitted to swap with Zhou. A FCY was called with 23 mins left to go due to debris on the track. Green flag conditions returned with 14 mins left to go with Zhou still in the lead. With 6 mins remaining Zhou was spun around by the No. 4 car and dropped down to 22nd (10th in class). With 20 seconds left to go Zhou had moved up to 17th (9th in class). At the chequered flag Zhou finished in 14th (9th in class) but received a drive through penalty for causing a collision which dropped them down to 22nd (10th in class).
The results don’t fully reflect the hard work that both the drivers and the team did this weekend so hopefully they have better luck next round 🥹🩶

McLaren basically ran away with it this week with Oscar just cruising through the race. He did such a good job to stay out of trouble and his engineers did an incredible job with the strategy. Lando on the other hand did one massive recovery job and boy did he not make his life easy. He did such a good job to keep fighting despite his mistakes and he clawed his way to a podium. That was one massive victory for the team and they should pat themselves on the back for that.

Well after absolutely roasting Ferrari last week they have redeemed themselves to an extent. Now they began to scare me with the strategy alphabet argument and the call to use hard tyres was horrid but thanks to a few safety cars and some planning they redeemed themselves. I will not lie they still have a way to go but it’s a start towards a better trajectory for the team.

Qualified - 9th
Sprint - 2nd
Sprint: 3rd due to Durksen disqualification (6 points)
Positions: -1
Feature: 7th (6 points)
Positions: +2
Dino had an incredible start to the sprint race, holding position despite the chaos of the opening lap. An early safety car came out but once it went back into the pits he began to chase down Durksen. Slowly but surely he got closer and closer until on lap 11 he overtook Durksen and took the lead of the race. Another safety car came out and he held the lead at the restart but unfortunately Durksen came back at him and took the lead. Dino fought to get it back but was pushed down to 4th when Verschoor and Pepe came into the mix. He got promoted to 3rd place after Durksen got disqualified for a technical infringement.
Dino survived the start of the Feature race but dropped down to 11th. As the race settled Dino remained in 11th but was chasing down 10th place while also defending against the driver in 12th. On lap 12 Dino pitted and dropped down to 20th. By lap 18 Dino jumped up to 7th after all the pit stops had been completed. The race then settled again and Dino remained in 7th but again chasing down the car ahead which in this case was Verschoor. At the chequered flag he finished in 7th.

McLaren were strong this weekend but unfortunately were let down by qualifying and their inability to make more aggressive decisions on the pit wall. The track is not one known for overtaking so a majority of the grid finished where they qualified. Both cars had pace but not enough to outmatch the RedBull and again tyre management was lacking. A good result this weekend but there’s a feeling that it could have been more and a concern that they’ve fallen back into their habit of indecisiveness from last year.
Lewis (8th in the standings):
Qualifying: 8th

Charles (6th in the standings) :

Now where do i even begin with Ferrari? The entire weekend they have been off the pace significantly. Every single session they were off the pace with no improvement to it whatsoever. There were no attempts to try remedy this with better strategy calls and the team is falling behind McLaren significantly and are losing ground to Mercedes. The team have no clue what’s going on with the car or what the exact problem is so I’m not hopeful that upgrades will help considering that the focus is shifting to 2026.

A solid season opener for the No.17 crew with a few hiccups along the way due to interchangeable conditions. The livery on the car looked absolutely stunning on track😍!! At many stages during the race the team were in podium position so that bodes well for future races🤭. The weekend was very productive for the team and at this stage the main focus is to learn as much as possible about the car and how to maximise its performance. 10th in class is a good start considering that it’s a brand new car for everyone in the team. Another strong weekend for the papayas, Oscar more so than Lando performed better this weekend. The weekend kicked off with Oscar qualifying 3rd for the Sprint and finishing 2nd in the Sprint whereas Lando struggled in both Sprint qualifying and the race as the car was not cooperating. Things turned around considerably for the Grand Prix with Oscar qualifying 1st and finishing 1st after a successful one stop strategy while Lando qualified 3rd and finished in 2nd despite his brakes having an issue. Another successful weekend for the team in the books🤭

Ferrari had a very mixed performance this weekend. The Sprint Race was definitely their best performance with Lewis qualifying 1st and finishing 1st with a lights to flag finish, marking his first ever win with Ferrari. Charles struggled during the Sprint Race as the car was being difficult to drive and just lacked pace. The Grand Prix was not the best for both drivers with Lewis having no pace and Charles chewing up his tyres so he couldn’t advance up the grid while also losing a place to Max. Although Charles did do well to finish in 5th despite having front wing damage. Then matters got worse as both drivers were disqualified due to technical infringements.

McLaren were incredibly strong this entire weekend, dominating each and every session which goes to show how they’ve continued their great form from last year. The race started off strong for both cars despite the very tricky conditions caused by the various spells of rain. Despite the chaos going on around them for a majority of the race both cars dominated, sticking close together while leaving the rest of the field behind. However, unfortunately both cars ended up being caught out by a rain shower towards the end and ended up having a moment with Oscar unfortunately going off track and dropping down the field. Thankfully Lando managed to secure his win and Oscar secured some points.
Lewis (10th in the standings):

Charles (8th in the standings) :
Qualifying: 7th

Ferrari just had one of those weekends that didn’t go their way. First and foremost the car was not suited to the track at all and it was very tricky to drive. The strategy calls from the team were not the best at all and they fumbled a massive opportunity towards the end due to very poor communication from the pit wall about the incoming rain. Lewis will definitely need more time with his engineer to sort out their communication and how much information is given as well as when it is given. Nevertheless both drivers scored points but clearly not the result that they were looking for. However, with all that being said the team are going through a total rebuild so these are just teething problems so hopefully things get better as the season progresses.

Dino had a good start to the beginning of the Sprint race and got through the first lap, dropping from 4th to 6th. A brief VSC was called but was quickly resolved. On lap 5 Dino was chasing down Stanek and made a move to take 5th place. A Safety car was then called due to a car going into the gravel on lap 7. On lap 12 Dino had a spin and dropped to 17th. On lap 14 Dino moved up to 15th due to another car going off track which brought out another Safety car. On lap 18 Dino moved up to 14th after making a move off Shields and he ended the race in 14th.
The Feature race was a wet race and began behind the Safety car but was red flagged during the formation lap due to the conditions of the track. Another race start was attempted but it was red flagged again due to the conditions not being safe. The race ended up being cancelled with no lap times recorded. Dino was meant to start in 5th.

The finale in Abu Dhabi took drama and chaos to the next level😅.
The first race was red flagged only two minutes into to it due to a crash at the start. The red flagged lasted for around an hour which led to a 30 minute extension being added once the race got back under way. With 2 hrs 3 minutes left Zhou pitted from 2nd in class and swapped with Elias dropping down to 20th in class. After a flurry of pit stops and some overtaking Elias worked his way up to 1st in class and remained there for the remainder of his stint. Ralf did a brief stint in the car and ended up battling for the class lead but he had to pit with 10 minutes left to go so Zhou could complete the mandatory driver time for Bronze drivers. At the chequered flag the team finished 14th in class.
For the second race the team started on pole and managed to maintain the class lead from the get go but unfortunately the race was red flagged only a minute in due to a crash. At the restart Zhou maintained the class lead and fluctuated amongst the top 3. After multiple VSC Zhou pitted to swap with Ralf. By the end of Ralf’s stint he climbed up to 5th in class before handing the car over to Elias. Elias made his way up to 6th in class before having to pit again and after the chequered flag finished 12th in class.
The team have done a fantastic job this season but unfortunately silverware wasn’t in the cards😔. Nonetheless they should give themselves a massive pat on the back for a job well done and hopefully they will come back stronger next time 🩶☺️!!

The 3rd and 4th races of the Asian Le Mans Series took place this past weekend and they were definitely eventful 😅.
The first race was pretty clean for the team for the most part however, a very lengthy red flag during Zhou’s second stint put an unexpected twist to everyone’s strategy. The race then resumed with 1 hour 45 minutes left to go with Ralf in the car in overall 28th. By the time Elias took over for the final hour of the race the team were 17th in their class. After a lot of hard work Elias ended the race 10th in class🥳.
The second race was just as eventful as the first😅. During Zhou’s first stint there was a lengthy Full Course Yellow but Zhou managed to get to 8th in class. Virtual Safety Car at the end of his second stint gave the team the opportunity to put Ralf in the car without losing much time and in time before the Safety Car came out.. Another VSC came out with 1hr 29 minutes left so Ralf came into the pits and swapped with Elias. When the safety car came out to bunch the grid back up together Elias was 3rd in class and this is when the chaos began 😭. In the last minute of the race Elias battled the 2Seas Motorsports car for 6th place in class but ended the race 7th in class.
The team finished in the top ten for both races and came close to a podium position in the second race🥳🥳!! Let’s see if they can progress further in the season finale this weekend at Yas Marina Circut🤞🏾🩶!!

The first set of races for the Asian Le Mans Series went really well for the team they secured points in both races. In the first race after multiple Safety Cars, FCY and accidents the boys did well to finish 10th in their class, securing their first points🥳.
The second race was a bit of a rollercaoster with the weather conditions constantly changing😭. The first part of the race was dry but as the race progressed the rain came in.
The team chose to stay out on slicks during Ralf’s stint but then when Elias got into the car they changed to wet weather tyres. However, the race did not run to the full 4 hours because it was Red Flagged due to the heavy rain so for the second race the team finished 4th in class although they were on course to finish 1st in class if the Red Flag didn’t come out😭😭. Nevertheless the team did an incredible job and I can’t wait for the next race🥹🤍!!

McLaren have done it and won the 2024 WCC. Despite the setback due to Max colliding with Oscar the team remained calm, focused on their strategy and brought the WCC to the team. Lando did incredibly well to finish in 1st and Oscar did an amazing recovery drive to finish in 10th. The entire team absolutely deserved this and next year looks like an epic year for the team.

An end of an era and what an end that was. It was a rocky start for Lewis after qualifying but he ploughed his way through the field to finish in 4th for his last race with Mercedes. Lewis will always be synonymous with Mercedes and he will always be a legend at the team, now it’s time for the next chapter in his story and I can’t wait to see how he does at Ferrari. George did well to finish in 5th after a tricky qualifying and will now prepare for next chapter of his career in which he will have a new teammate alongside him.
This also concludes my time as a Mercedes fan as I am first and foremost Team LH. I will always have a special place in my heart for this team but I will be following my GOAT across the pond to Ferrari.

He ended the race in 4th due to Ollie having a penalty. Due to Paul getting disqualified Dino moved up into 3rd place.
Dino moved down to 5th on the second lap of the feature race. He pitted on lap 8 for his mandatory pit stop and came out in 11th. He moved up to 10th on lap 20. The race then settled down for a few laps as Paul chased down Cordeel. By lap 17 Paul had DRS on Cordeel and took 3rd place from him. Once again Paul gave us an overtaking master class. Unfortunately Hitech messed up and Paul got disqualified for a technical infringement.
Paul began the Feature Race from the pit lane as a result of a penalty due to Hitech making an absolute blunder. On the opening lap he moved up to 19th. He moved up to 18th on lap 5.
