Qualified - Pole (2 points)
Sprint - P9 (due to durksen penalty from Monaco)
Sprint:
P3 (6 points)
Positions: +6
Feature:
P4 (12 points)
Positions: -3
A very good job from Paul at the start of the sprint race making up 3 places then maintaining 6th even when under pressure. He did an incredible overtake on Bortoleto to secure P5 which converted to P4 since Miyata got a penalty, only for Paul to be promoted to P3 after JM was handed a 5 second time penalty for track limit violations
Paul had a good start in the feature race keeping first place before an early safety car came in because of a crash from the back of the field. He managed to hang on to the lead at the safety car restart. Paul pitted at lap 12 but the pit stop was slow costing him the net race lead to Crawford whose tyres were already fired up.
Paul went into the gravel due to losing the rear and dropped down the order loosing the net race lead momentarily.
At lap 24 Paul was running in P9 which was net 4th place at the time and he was chasing down Bortoleto for net 3rd.
On lap 28 Paul overtook Bortoleto for P5 which was net 3rd taking the last podium place. On lap 30 Kimi pitted which put Paul in 3rd place.
On lap 32 JM caught up to Paul and took 3rd place from Paul despite his defensive manoeuvres. Paul ended the race in 4th place but still retained the championship lead with a 9 point gap to Isack Hadjar.

Qualifying: 3rd
Grand Prix: 2nd (18 points)

Oscar (6th in the standings):
Qualifying: 4th
Grand Prix: 5th (10 points)

Mclaren were incredibly strong this weekend with another podium for Lando and just unlucky strategy calls due to the varying conditions of the track. Oscar did so well the entire race until George made contact and ruined his chances of a podium. Both drivers and cars were really quick this weekend and brought the fight to red-bull.
Lewis (8th in the standings):
Qualifying : 7th
Grand Prix: 4th (12 points + 1 for fastest lap)
Positions: +3
George (7th in the standings) :
Qualifying: Pole
Grand Prix: 3rd (15 points)
Positions: -2
Finally the first podium of the season for Mercedes with George securing P3
Both cars were extremely quick this weekend and despite varying conditions they both did really well. George made a lot of mistakes and had a very scrappy race causing a careless collision with Oscar which cost him valuable positions. Lewis attacked throughout the entire race and just lost out on 3rd position to George. I’m glad both drivers and the team have figured out what was wrong with the car but the real test will be in Barcelona in 2 weeks

4 hours in Ralf is currently in the car and the team is doing well. They’ve been running in the top 10 for a majority of the 4 hours and easier making it back up after pits stops. At this stage there have been 3 pit stops.
7.5/ 8 Hours

Red flag due to fog causing poor visibility on track. Race was neutralised till 6am UK time. A small incident when Owega was in the car caused car No. 6 to fall down the order but it was slowly making its way back Fetzer was in the car and it was 19th before the red flag.
Restart after Red flag 21hrs in :

In class - 17
After a very lengthy red flag that lasted all night, the cars will go round the circuit for 5 laps behind the safety car to see if visibility is good enough to go back to full race pace. If it is then the safety car will come in and they will return to full race pace. If not the race will be ended and the results will be as they were when the red flag was called. Haupt will be behind the wheel.

The race was not restarted after the 5 laps behind the safety car because the visibility was still poor. It’s unfortunate but this is how racing goes and safety will always come first.

Mclaren were incredibly strong this weekend with Oscar getting his first podium of the season and Lando finishing p4. The car was strong this weekend and the red flag did simplify the strategy because they could take a free tire change and just focus on getting to the end of the race.
Lewis (8th in the standings):

George (7th in the standings) :

Both cars struggled during the race and I have no clue what on earth George’s strategy was. Slowly but surely the upgrades are coming and Lewis will have the new front wing in Canada but it’s going to be a long season of mediocre results. Lewis obviously not impressed but he can only drive the car that he’s given. George was happy with finishing ahead of max and said that this result was the best they could do with how the car and the race was.

Once the race resumed it was quite calm with Dino getting the fastest lap on lap 7. Dino managed to finish the race in P7 and keep the fastest lap.
Very similar to the sprint race Dino finished exactly where be qualified in P6 and managed to stay out of the chaos of the feature race to secure more valuable points for the championship

That was an incredible drive from Paul in the sprint race overtaking Cordeel in lap 1 and that superb safety car restart where he pulled a gap. He did so well to keep Franco at bay until the last lap when Franco kinda nudged him and he dropped down to P2
A good job from Paul in the feature race to finish with good points for the championship. He was hampered by those on the alternative strategy as they pitted very late in the race and he was also stuck behind Colapinto for the entire race. Still a good result as the gap is now 5 points between him and Maloney. Time to focus on Monaco next week

A very eventful sprint race to say the least with multiple safety cars but it was a good race from Dino as he expertly made his way up the field to finish in 4th. There was a little contact between him and Megetounif where Megetounif made contact with the back of Dino’s car but it didn’t hamper his race at all.

Race 9:
Qualified - P19
Finished - P13
That was an incredible debut race from Paul and he showed some really good pace and battled till the very end were he unfortunately got a puncture after contact with Sacha which caused him to finish just outside of the points. He had incredible close racing moments and it looked like he had a lot of fun.
Race 10:
Qualified - P19
Finished - P14
It was a chaotic race to say the least with a lot of contact and chaos happening in front of Paul. Luckily he managed to stay out of it but it didn’t make it easy for him to move up the field. This brings us to the end of Paul’s weekend in Formula E, it was so much fun to watch him race again and I hope he enjoyed every second of it. Who knows we may see him in Formula E again in the future.
Now time focus back on F2 which is back this week for Imola.

Wang did well to keep the car in P3 when it was his turn in the car and was on course to finish the race in 3rd until the number 1 Porsche made contact with the back of car number 22 causing it to spin around.
After Race control reviewed the incident car number 1 which ended the race in 3rd received a drive through penalty which was converted to a 33 second post race penalty moving it down to 12th place. As a result car number 22 finished the race 5th overall and 4th in class.

Mclaren started off strong with their strategy choice but unfortunately it wasn’t the right call and it cost them a potential podium. The car still lacks pace especially down the straight but makes up for it in the high speed corners. Both cars struggled with the tires but still did a good job to finish in the points.

George (7th in the standings) :

The strategy chosen for both Lewis and George did not pay off at all and put them on the back foot compared to the others. Lewis had to call for the strategy to be changed as it was not working and after pit stops he was still losing time. George showed the car has good pace for overtaking but he was on fresher tires compared to Oscar and it did take him a while. The car still looks like it hasn’t got pace compared to the Ferraris. At least they finished in the points this time.
