During the opening lap Wang moved down to 27th conceding 4 positions but moved up to 10th in class. On lap 4 Wang came into the pits because they got hit at the start which danger the car so they ended up DNF.

Race 2
Ralf ➡️ Wang

Qualifying:
Overall - 3rd
In class - 3rd

Results:
Overall - 7th
In class - 6th

Ralf dropped to 4th in the opening lap but heavy rain was causing other cars to spin since the entire filed was out on slick tyres. Ralf attempted an overtake but he had no grip at all because he was on slicks. Ralf then came in for wet tyre a lap later than the main pack but this did not count a their mandatory pitstop and staying out a lap more did not pay off either as they ended up coming out in 7th place. Ralf then came in to swap with Wang towards the end of the pit stop window. For the remainder of the race Wang remained in 7th which is the position the car finished in, 7th overall and 6th in the Pro-Am catergory.

It was an unlucky weekend for the team and hopefully they can bounce back for the last round in Shanghai.

Netherlands 🇳🇱 debrief McLaren & Mercedes edition 🏎️

Lando (2nd in the standings) :

Qualifying: 1st

Grand Prix: 1st (25 points +1 for fastest lap)
Positions: =

Oscar (4th in the standings):

Qualifying: 3rd

Grand Prix: 4th (12 points)
Positions: -1

Mclaren were absolutely incredible this weekend. They came back stronger than ever with Lando winning the race with a 22 second lead over Max. Oscar was struggling to overtake Charles which is understandable because Zandvoort doesn’t make it easy to overtake at all. That being said when Oscar was in clean air he had a lot of pace on him so it was just unfortunate he couldn’t make it past Charles but he still scored valuable points for the constructors championship. I’m certain that if Oscar had more clean air like Charles did he would have been able to make the overtake. McLaren have done really well to continue fighting at the front.

Lewis (6th in the standings):

Qualifying : 12th but started 14th due to a 3 place grid penalty

Grand Prix: 8th (4 points)
Positions: +6

George (7th in the standings) :

Qualifying: 4th

Grand Prix: 7th (6 points)
Positions: -3

Mercedes have had a rollercoaster weekend to say the least. The car just wasn’t great at all during the race. Both Lewis and George had no grip whatsoever. Lewis was happy with the car but it had a lot of understeer and slow in the straights. Both cars lacked pace for some reason and both drivers had no idea why. It was quite surprising how quickly the tables turned after how good the last two races were for Mercedes so maybe Zandvoort is just an outlier.

A rollercoaster of an NLS4 for car No.48😭.
They qualified on pole for the original 6 hour race then the race began well with Jules maintaining the lead at the start but he dropped down to 4th towards the end of the last lap.
However, on lap 2 there was an incident due to the heavy rain and many cars including Jules’s car aquaplaned then collided with the tyre barrier. All the drivers got out safely but it was an unfortunate DNF.

Hopefully the team will be back for NLS 5 in October☺️

My thoughts are with all those impacted by the incident last Friday and I’m wishing them all a speedy recovery🙏🏾💕

It was quite an eventful NLS4 this weekend😅. The race was red flagged during lap 2 due to a multi car collision due to aquaplaning, all drivers were okay. Hubert managed to get through the collision. The race was then restarted at 13:00pm (UK time) but it was now a 4 hour race and car No.9 started on de facto pole. Hubert did get a drive through penalty for jumping the start which David did serve but they still ended up leading for a good majority of the race. Salman took the last two stints and brought the car home for the win.

A massive well done to the entire team, super duper proud of everyone🥳🤍!!

P11
Positions: +1

Dino had a good start during the sprint race but lost the lead to Gabriele in lap 1. He reclaimed the lead in lap 4 during the Safety Car restart. Prema had a very odd radio request telling Dino to give Gabriele the place back due to being at risk for track limits but the stewards said nothing about that. Dino didn’t oblige with the request and kept the lead. For the remainder of the race Dino remained in the lead keeping Gabriele at bay. Dino took first place and won his second Sprint Race of the season.

At the start of the feature race Dino dropped to 13th in the first lap. On lap 3 a safety car was brought out due to a collision. During the restart Dino remained 13th but on lap 7 the safety car was deployed again after another collision. During the restart Dino moved up to 12th but 2 other cars went off bringing in another safety car. At the restart he moved up to 11th and he finished the race in 11th

3rd in F2 standings

Sprint - 20th (10 place grid penalty from Hungary)

Sprint: 18
Positions: +2

Feature: 16

Positions: -15

During the start of the sprint race Paul moved up to 17th from 20th. On lap 3 Paul dropped to 18th. On lap 7 after laps behind the safety car due to Pepe stopping, a red flag was called because conditions were bad. The race was stopped after 8 laps because conditions were not safe to go back racing.

Paul managed to keep the lead at the start of the feature race but an early safety car neutralised the race. During the restart Paul kept the lead but another safety car came out on lap 4. At the second restart Paul still kept the lead keeping Hadjar at bay. On lap 8 Paul moved to 2nd as Hadjar took the lead. Paul pitted on lap 9 for his mandatory pit stop and came out in 16th. On lap 11 Paul overtook Hadjar for 8th which at the time was the net race lead. On lap 13 Hadjar took 8th place back but Paul remained in DRS range. Lap 16 Paul moves up to 5th due to others serving their mandatory pit stops. On lap 18 Paul moved to 3rd place. On the last lap Paul had an issue with the engine and slowed down dropping down to 16th. It was a really disappointing situation after he did so well and I just hope Hitech get their act together over the summer break.

Belgium 🇧🇪 debrief McLaren & Mercedes edition 🏎️

Lando (2nd in the standings) :

Qualifying: 5th but starts 4th due to Verstappen’s grid penalty
Grand Prix: 5 (10 points +1 for fastest lap due to George’s disqualification)
Positions: -2

Oscar (4th in the standings):

Qualifying: 6th but starts 5th due to Verstappen’s grid penalty
Grand Prix: 2 (18 points due to George’s disqualification)
Positions: +2

Mclaren had a tale of two halves with Oscar finishing 3rd and Lando finishing in 6th. Lando cost himself a better finish after a bad start that cost him so many positions whereas Oscar had a way better start and moved forward. Andrea said that overtaking was harder than expected and Lando said that the undercut was the better strategy and powerful and that with hindsight it would have been better to do that.

Lewis (6th in the standings):

Qualifying : 4th but starts 3rd due to Verstappen’s grid penalty
Grand Prix: 1st (25 points due to George’s disqualification)
Positions: +2

George (7th in the standings) :

Qualifying: 7th but starts 6th due to Verstappen’s grid penalty
Grand Prix: Disqualified due to the car being underweight
Positions: N/A

Mercedes did an incredible job to finish in a 1-2 when they had a disastrous few days especially in qualifying. It’s good to see that the team has been getting podiums consistently and it’s a good thing to carry over into the summer break. George made a good call to gamble on the one stop and it paid off. However, George got disqualified due to the car being underweight so Lewis inherited the win which was rightfully deserved since the team messed up his race by calling him in to the pits when he still had good tyres. It’s unfortunate for George but rules are rules.

Lap 4 they dropped to 11th (8th in class) as they were overtaken by a Ferrari. Lap 7 they dropped down to 13th but then on Lap 12 moved into 12th after one of the Tresoor Audi’s pitted. On Lap 16 they moved up to 7th (4th in class) due to other cars pitting for the mandatory pit stop.

On lap 17 they pitted for their mandatory pit stop with Ezequiel swapping with Phil who came out of the pits in 9th (7th in class). On lap 18 they moved up to 7th (6th in class) due to other cars pitting.
At the Chequred flag the car dropped to 11th at the very last corner but then moved up to 10th due to a car ahead getting a 5 second time penalty.

Lando (2nd in the standings) :

Qualifying: Pole
Grand Prix: 2 (18 points)
Positions: -1

Oscar (5th in the standings):

Qualifying: 2nd
Grand Prix: 1 (25 points)
Positions: +1

Mclaren did well to finish 1st and 2nd. Oscar deserved his first win, he did so well the entire race despite Lando making it difficult by not following team orders right away and being difficult. Although that being said McLaren should have pitted Oscar first to avoid this entire situation because there was no need to pull a stunt like that. Lando needs to learn to be a team player because countless times Oscar has let him through on team orders and the attitude he showed should not be tolerated. Overall the team need to do better to manage both drivers because something like this cannot happen again.

Lewis (6th in the standings):

Qualifying : 5th
Grand Prix: 3rd (15 points)
Positions: +2

George (8th in the standings) :

Qualifying: 17th
Grand Prix: 8th (4 points +1 for fastest lap)
Positions: +7

Mercedes did well to help George recover from his shocking qualifying session to finish 8th and score valuable points. Lewis did well to charge up the field and score his 200th career podium and add to the consistent good run of form that Mercedes have had. However, the team’s strategy when it comes to pit timing needs to be looked at because Lewis was just about holding off Max even though he was struggling on his tyres.

During the start Paul dropped down to 15th from 10th due to those on soft tyres having better grip from the get go while those on the hard which includes Paul have to play a waiting game.

At lap 9 the hard tyre has become the faster tyre compared to the softs.

On lap 12 Paul moved down to 15th place. He was stuck at the end of a DRS train On lap 18 Paul moved up to 14th due to Kimi pitting.

On lap 20 Paul moved up to 13th and on lap 21 moved up to 12th then 11th due to Durksen pitting. Lap 23 Paul moved up to 10th and on lap 24 he moved up to 8th, into points positions then on lap 25 he moved up to 7th where he ended the race.

Qualifying: 3rd
Grand Prix: 3
Positions: -18

Oscar (5th in the standings):

Qualifying: 5th
Grand Prix: 4th (12 points)
Positions: +1

Mclaren messed up Oscar’s race when they left him out for an extra lap instead of double stacking him with Lando. He was in contentions for a podium but that was ruined by a poor strategy call by McLaren. They made another mistake by letting Lando go onto the soft tyres instead of the mediums leaving him vulnerable to Max and costing him P2. McLaren need to get their strategy calls together and their pits stops together because it’s these small things that are costing them wins.

Lewis (8th in the standings):

Qualifying : 2nd
Grand Prix: 1st (25 points)
Positions: +1

George (7th in the standings) :

After an incredibly run and start to the weekend George had to retire due to an issue with the water system. He did so well the entire weekend and it’s extremely disappointing that he had to retire at his home race.
